Open the main partially, walk the valve boxes, and watch for mist at fittings. A full-pressure slam into a cracked elbow turns a $4 fitting into a trench.
Run each zone briefly. Heads that refuse to pop may be packed with winter debris — pull and rinse before you assume a bad body.
Reset the controller clock and review Hydrawise or local schedules. Many panels still hold last fall's shortened runtimes.
