Spring Startup: Clean the Valve Box Before You Blame the Solenoid

Pull the lid, scoop standing mud, and check that solenoid leads are intact. Only then swap the coil. We sell plenty of Hunter solenoids — we would rather you buy the one you need, not the third guess.

If a PGV diaphragm is torn, rebuild it. Replacing the whole valve is fine when the body is cracked; it is wasteful when a kit would do.
