Wiring a Hunter Rain-Clik Without Creating a Mystery Outage

Hunter Rain-Clik and wireless variants interrupt watering when the cup is wet. Installed correctly they save water. Installed on the wrong terminals they suspend every zone forever and generate angry calls.

On most Hunter residential controllers the sensor lands on the SEN (or SENSOR) terminals. If you remove a sensor, bridge those terminals with a jumper so the panel sees a closed circuit again.

Mount the sensor in open sky — not under an eave that never gets rain. Test by pressing the spindle (or using the app bypass on smart panels) before you pack up.
